Pastoral Care Outreach Services

Bereavement Programs — The loss of a loved one can be a difficult experience to bear, but you do not have to go through those feelings alone. We offer Bereavement Support Groups at no charge for those who have suffered a loss. For more information, call 717-763-2118 or 717-972-4255.

Ecumenical Memorial Services — Twice a year, we conduct ecumenical memorial services, followed by a social in the auditorium. Services are open to anyone grieving the loss of a loved one.

Share Burial — Parents who have lost pre-term babies are invited to take part in an ecumenical burial service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. This service, held in conjunction with Malpezzi Funeral Home, takes place every three months. There is no cost to parents for the burial of their babies.

Palliative Care Services — As part of our caring team of palliative care professionals, our staff chaplains provide support to terminally ill patients and their families.

Seminarian Program — Each year, four to six seminarians from Mt. St. Mary’s in Emmitsburg, MD, are invited to attend a weekly, nine-month training program in pastoral care visitation.

Memorial Masses — Masses in memory of our deceased employees are held on the second Friday of every month. Family members are invited to attend.

Monthly Masses — The Geisinger Holy Spirit priest chaplain conducts monthly masses at the Golden Living Retirement Center.
