The Stabler Foundation donates $5 million for new ORs at Holy Spirit Hospital

CAMP HILL – The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation made a $5 million gift to Holy Spirit Health System for the renovation and construction of state-of-the-art operating rooms at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. The contribution is the lead gift to Holy Spirit’s 50th Anniversary capital campaign, entitled A Mission on the Move, and it is the largest gift ever made to Holy Spirit.

Renovating operating rooms, along with adjacent procedure rooms and support spaces, is a key component in Holy Spirit’s master plan to create a new center of excellence for minimally invasive and robotic surgery. When complete, the space will be named “The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Surgical Wing” at Holy Spirit Hospital.

“All of us at Holy Spirit are grateful to The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation for their extraordinary generosity in providing this lead gift to the 50th Anniversary campaign,” said Sister Romaine Niemeyer, SCC, president and CEO, Holy Spirit Health System. “The Stabler Foundation is truly helping us transform Holy Spirit Hospital to meet growing patient demand for increased minimally invasive surgeries now and for years to come.”

“The Stabler Foundation is proud to be associated with Holy Spirit for this very worthwhile project,” said Cyril Dunmire, chairman, Stabler Foundation. “With healthcare delivery changing so rapidly, this is a very necessary investment that will benefit patients, families, and the whole community for years to come.”

Holy Spirit’s 50th Anniversary campaign is responding to community healthcare needs by raising funds for significant capital investments to advance new technologies, improve facilities, and enhance network infrastructure.
