As a community Catholic health system sponsored by the Sisters of Christian Charity, Holy Spirit Health System has been serving the community since the Hospital opened in 1963. Through the years, generous donors, friends and benefactors have contributed millions of dollars to build the system and help to fulfill its mission, which is to carry out the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to all in need. That fulfillment takes many forms, from the spiritual connection of the Pastoral Care staff to a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services and wellness programs available at more than 20 high-tech, high-touch service locations.
Your donation will make a meaningful difference in the quality, scope and reach of services and programs that continue our mission-driven work throughout Central Pennsylvania.
Contributions are welcome at any time, in any amount. You may make an outright gift using a check or credit card.

Tributes in memory of, in honor of, or in celebration of someone are a thoughtful way to remember a loved one or commemorate friends and family on special occasions. Gifts may also say "thanks," reflect one’s faith journey, celebrate recovery or the arrival of a new baby, or express support for a special person.
Patients and families who are touched by the compassion shown by Holy Spirit staff often ask us how best to express their gratitude for the exemplary care they or a loved one received. The answer is: the Guardian Angels program. Gifts may be made on behalf of individuals, units, floors, programs, outpatient locations, or Centers of Excellence, such as the Ortenzio Heart Center.
Donors who recognize others will receive an acknowledgement letter. In addition, we will inform the person or program, so the honoree is aware of your thoughtful act. Gift amounts are not disclosed and may be anonymous.

Leave a Bequest
Remembering Holy Spirit in your will is an easy way to fulfill your philanthropic goals. Often, people find they can make a larger gift than they ever thought possible. Most bequests come as a specific distribution, such as an amount, a percentage, an asset, or the remaining balance of the estate once other commitments are meet.
For those over age 65, annuities can provide a way to make a gift and receive regular income for life. Interest rates can be higher than other market-based income vehicles. (Limitations apply.)
Custom Giving Options
A host of unique giving vehicles—including a variety of trusts—are available for those with special circumstances. We welcome the opportunity to develop a custom opportunity to meet your needs.
All gifts are gratefully received. Donors’ names will be listed in the Annual Report and Share the Spirit magazine, as space permits.
The following levels will be recognized on the Stewardship Wall near the main elevators.
|Cornerstone||$1,000 - $4,999|
|Pillar||$500 - $999|
|Benefactor||$250 - $499|
Legacy and capital gifts of $50,000 and up will be recognized individually within Holy Spirit Health System.
Generous gifts from partners like you help us to provide programs and services throughout the community. Whether your gift is designated to a specific use or undesignated, you can be sure that we will put it to the best use possible.
Holy Spirit Health System
Undesignated gifts support the health system and provide us with the greatest flexibility to address critical or unmet needs. Gifts may be designated to programs, departments or centers.
Many in the community come to Holy Spirit in their time of need. When the cost of medical care exceeds a patient’s ability to pay, your donation can help to ensure that individuals continue to access the health care and services they need.
The Endowment Fund helps to assure the long-term viability of the Holy Spirit Health System. Earnings are used to underwrite special projects, make capital purchases, or invest in the visionary outreach and expansion projects called for in the Master Plan.
Holy Spirit Health System invites the stewardship support of its staff and volunteers through an annual Holy Spirit Health System Family Campaign. Employees and volunteers, click here to download a blank gift form.
