“Taste of Sugar” Support Group Meetings Offered
Holy Spirit Diabetes Services offers a free monthly support group for people with pre-diabetes, Type 2 diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and their families. “A Taste of Sugar” meets on the second Monday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. in Wegman’s conference room. No registration is necessary. For more information, please contact Holy Spirit Diabetes Services at 763-2466.
Carlisle Family Health Center Hours Expand in March
On Sunday, March 4, the Carlisle Family Health Center, 1211 Forge Road, Carlisle, will expand its hours to Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 8 p.m.
Educational Seminar on Atrial Fibrillation to be Offered
Holy Spirit Health System will host a free educational seminar on Atrial Fibrillation (Afib) and the latest treatment options. Safwat Gassis, MD, FACC, of Capital Cardiovascular Associates, will present “Atrial Fibrillation: New Treatment Options for this Common Irregular Heart Rhythm” on Friday, March 16, at 6 p.m. The lecture will be held in Holy Spirit Hospital’s Auditorium.
Holy Spirit Adds Vascular Practice
Three physicians from Vascular Associates, PC, have joined Holy Spirit Health System. John Calaitges, MD, Joseph Campbell, MD, FACS, and Richard Razzino, MD, are board certified, fellowship-trained vascular surgeons and experts in all diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of vascular disease.

Day of Dance to be held in February
Holy Spirit Health System is hosting its fifth annual Spirit of Women “Day of Dance” event on Saturday, February 25, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., at the Radisson Hotel in Camp Hill.
Cardiac Rehab Maintenance Program Offered
Holy Spirit Hospital now offers an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation maintenance program to those who have completed a formal cardiac rehab program. This non-monitored maintenance program will provide the patient with a safe environment where they can exercise with others who have the same goal of staying heart healthy. Minimal supervision is provided and independence is strongly encouraged. The nursing staff can be called upon if a problem or emergency arises. The Holy Spirit Hospital Auxiliary will be hosting a presentation of Theatre Harrisburg’s presentation of “Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on Sunday, February 5 at 2 p.m. at The Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. This timeless favorite is appropriate for all ages.
