Mothers can bring their babies up to 15 months old. “Mom’s Place” is for women who feel overwhelmed, sad, worried, or need extra support. “Mom’s Place” meets every Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 20 Erford Road, Suite 11, Lemoyne.</p>

<p>“Mom’s Place” is led by a clinician from Holy Spirit Hospital’s Behavioral Health department. The group is educational, supportive, and fun. Light refreshments are provided. “Mom’s Place” also hosts family night where women can bring partners or spouses. For more information, please call 763-2200.</p>

<p><font face="Helvetica">Throughout the year, Holy Spirit Hospital offers free and low-cost health screenings to the public.&nbsp;For our fall screening event, attendees can take advantage of the following services:</font></p>

<ul>
<li><font face="Helvetica">Blood Pressure Screening&nbsp;- Free</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica">Body Mass Index (BMI) Screening&nbsp;- Free</font></li>
<li>Carotid Artery Screening - Free; <em>a non-invasive&nbsp;ultrasound&nbsp;screening of the neck&nbsp;that measures plague and blood flow in the arteries.</em></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica">Cholesterol Screening - $5; <em>provides total cholesterol number, not HDL or LDL levels. No fasting is required. </em></font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica">Glucose Screening&nbsp;- $2</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica">Peripheral Artery Disease Screening - Free; </font><font face="Helvetica"><em>Peripheral Artery Disease, or PAD, is the narrowing of the peripheral arteries to the legs, stomach, arms and head. The most common symptoms are cramping, pain or tiredness in the leg or hip muscles.&nbsp;PAD often goes undiagnosed and can lead to amputation and/or stroke or heart attack. </em></font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica">Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) Screening - Free; <em>a simple blood test for men that screens for prostate cancer.</em></font></li>
</ul>

<p>These screenings are offered in the hospital auditorium from 2 to 6 p.m. You do not need to pre-register for any of these services. If you have any questions, please call 763-2427.</p>

<p>Does your child want to babysit?&nbsp; Enroll them in this 2-day class where they will learn how to treat babysitting as their own personal business.&nbsp; They will learn valuable information on taking care of children from infants to school age.&nbsp; Students enrolled in these classes&nbsp;learn how to keep the children in their care and themselves safe in any situation.&nbsp; They even learn how to do CPR and choking rescues.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Classes are held at the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library, 100 North 19th Street, Camp Hill from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.</p>

<p>Join Holy Spirit Diabetes Services as we present our our monthly Touch of Sugar Support Group, providing free educational sessions about pre-diabetes, diabetes and general healthy living.&nbsp;Sessions take place on the second Monday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. in the conference room in the rear of the dining area in <strong>Wegman’s</strong> on Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg.&nbsp;<strong>September's topic is “Food Labels.” </strong>Attendees will learn how to read food labels to better understand calories, carbohydrates, fats and sugar.</p>

<p>Join us for a Dementia Awareness Collaboration event hosted in the Holy Spirit Hospital auditorium, located at 503 N. 21st St., Camp Hill. Attendees will learn the signs and symptoms of dementia, discover what resources are available for Holy Spirit Hospital patients, and hear experiences and advice from a caregiver. There will be a question-and-answer session after the presentation. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Join the Holy Spirit Breast Care Center as they host their quarterly Cancer Wellness Program event.&nbsp;This program focuses on a four-prong approach to preventing cancer or its reoccurance: boosting fitness, diet , relaxation, and stress reduction.</p>

<p>This month's&nbsp;program will address <strong>"Reducing Stress through Yoga and Meditation." </strong>Angela Soto Hamin, MD, FACS, will provide an overview, then&nbsp;attendees are encouraged to participate in a free relaxation yoga class.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The TAKE CHARGE: Cancer Wellness Program is open to anyone and is free to attend.&nbsp;Next session date is Tuesday, November 29.</p>

<p>Holy Spirit–A Geisinger Affiliate has teamed up with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and health professionals to provide cardiac health education, as well as group support to patients, their families and caregivers to promote lifelong heart healthy living.</p>

<p>Holy Spirit’s “Spirited Hearts” cardiovascular support group meetings are held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Holy Spirit Hospital’s Auditorium C&amp;D on the following dates:</p>

<li><strong>Wednesday, September 28</strong> – Lenke Erki, M.D., and Rich Morrison, RN, Holy Spirit Cardiology, will present “Congestive Heart Failure and The Heart Failure Clinic.”</li>
<li><strong>Wednesday, October 26</strong> –David Man, M.D., Holy Spirit Cardiology, will present “Atrial Fibrillation and the Watchman Device.”</li>
<li><strong>Wednesday, November 16</strong> – Eric L. Shirley, D.M.D., will present “Oral Care and Heart Disease.”</li>
</ul>

<p>A question and answer session will follow the presentations.&nbsp; Professional counselors are available to talk with attendees during the last 30 minutes of each session.</p>
