Posted: 6 April 2011

To address the many issues that those with heart disease may be facing, Holy Spirit Hospital has teamed up with cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to provide cardiac health education, as well as group support to patients, their families, and caregivers to promote lifelong heart healthy living.

A Spirited Hearts small group workshop will be held on Monday, May 16, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in The Ortenzio Heart Center, third floor classroom room. Brian Truax, LCSW, Psychotherapist, Jeanine Quatman, PA-C, and Kathy Thumma, RN, BSN, nurse manager, Holy Spirit Cardiac Rehabilitation, will present “Motivation: How It Can Change Your Life.”

“Staying well has everything to do with lifestyle – changing your diet, stopping smoking, exercising – but it can be a struggle to maintain these changes,” says Truax. “Having a positive attitude and feeling empowered to take care of yourself makes all the difference.” Seating is limited. Please call 972-4486 to reserve your seat.
